Another rizal's birthday... I dunno why I am very facinated with this date and it ends up still the birthday of the National hero of the Philippines...

Jose Rizal Shrine -
Jose Rizal is the country's national hero. In his honor, the house in Calamba City where he and his family were raised is now turned into a shrine. His Spanish-vintage house is a two-storey, red-tiled-roof that stands on a very spacious loan. Short grasses covered the loan where century old trees grow. The house is maintained by the national government. It houses Dr. Jose P. Rizal's childhood, ranging from pictures of and early sculptures made by the late hero to laminated excerpts of some of his best written works, as well as pictures of the women in his life. The house is by no means in its original state - except for the old well, everything is a reconstruction of the original house of Rizal. The house still has maintained much of its colonial appeal. The museum on-site offers guided tours for groups. It has a gift shop on the ground floor. There is no entrance fee but donations are welcome. Museum hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., everyday except Monday.

The Rizal Shrine dedicated to the lifework of Jose Rizal is located on Santa Clara Street, Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila, 1002 Philippines.

Rizal Shrine Dapitan (Exile 1892 - 1896)

Dr. Jose P. Rizal's Shrine (Baguio City)-
in this area lies a marble bust of the philippine national hero and a place to rest overlooking burnham park.

thats all for today...

Happy birthday...

Saan ba iyon nakalagay?
Aling Marya : Hanapin mo, naririyan lamang yan.

a trip to Masbate

Masbate is an island province of the Philippines located in the Bicol Region in Luzon. Its capital is Masbate City and consists of three major islands: Masbate, Ticao and Burias.
This beautiful island is also known as the "Wild West" of the Philippines.

If you are in Masbate City. There is a one hour drive to go to a town called Cataingan, there lies a beautiful resort, The KHOKAK Beach Resort; It was really a beautiful place with a scenic view of the Burias Island; Currently The place has some on going beautification and the road was under construction; but if you see the white sand beach and the sea wall You will really love the place... there stand a cottages and an airconditioned room to stay, luckily for me i dont need to pay or to stay in the resort coz my aunt's house is just a 5 minute walk on that resort. Oh by the way the owner of this resort is a very young and handsome Mayor Wilton Kho a mayor of this town.

dengue alert

DENGUE can kill many lives..... i dont wanna happen it to anyone. just beware of the mosquitoes zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

here is a little bit searches to read. thanx for your time...

Introduction to Symptoms of Dengue hemorrhagic fever:
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is characterized by a fever that lasts from 2 to 7 days, with general signs and symptoms that could occur with many other illnesses (e.g., nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and headache). This stage is followed by hemorrhagic manifestations, tendency to bruise easily or other types of skin hemorrhages, bleeding nose or gums, and possibly internal bleeding. The smallest blood vessels (capillaries) become excessively permeable (“leaky”), allowing the fluid component to escape from the blood vessels. This may lead to failure of the circulatory system and shock, followed by death, if circulatory failure is not corrected. (Source: excerpt from Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever: Questions and Answers: DVBID)
During the first few days of illness, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), a severe and sometimes fatal form of dengue, may resemble classic dengue or other viral syndromes. Patients with DHF may have fever lasting 2 to 7 days and a variety of nonspecific signs and symptoms. At about the time the fever begins to subside, the patient may become restless or lethargic, show signs of circulatory failure, and experience hemorrhagic manifestations. The most common of these manifestations are skin hemorrhages such as petechiae, purpura, or ecchymoses, but may also include epistaxis, bleeding gums, hematemesis, and melena. DHF patients develop thrombocytopenia and hemoconcentration, the latter as a result of the leakage of plasma from the vascular compartment. The condition of these patients may rapidly evolve into dengue shock syndrome (DSS), which, if not immediately corrected, can lead to profound shock and death. Advance warning signs of DSS include severe abdominal pain, protracted vomiting, marked change in temperature (from fever to hypothermia), or change in mental status (irritability or obtundation). Early signs of DSS include restlessness, cold clammy skin, rapid weak pulse, and narrowing of pulse pressure and/or hypotension. Fatality rates among those with DSS may be as high as 44%. DHF/DSS can occur in children and adults. (Source: excerpt from Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever: Information for Health Care Practitioners: DVBID)
